Black Sam

In 1715 the Spanish Plate Fleet was battered and sunk by a storm that left it’s cargo of silver and gold scattered, ripe for the taking for any brave enough to try to claim it. This treasure was surely enough for young Samuel Bellamy to bring home to Cape Cod to win the hand of his one true love…

” I have commissioned quite a few pieces from Craig over the years and he exceeds my expectations every time. His attention to detail is unmatched. He is always willing to make changes base on your personal preferences to ensure you’re getting exactly what you want. His creativity and passion shines through in every single work of art he touches. I will cherish theses pieces for years to come!”

– Jaqueline Morgan

” I worked with CR on a cover piece. He brilliantly took my ideas to execution, exceeding my original vision while staying true to the intent of the piece. He was careful to provide sketches and updates along the way so there were no surprises. CR took the challenge of drawing multiple characters from text descriptions only and breathed life into them to create a complex, engaging cover.”

” I saw a portrait that Craig had done of a person and I just new that I needed one of my cat. Mitten was 14 years old and not in good health. I thought it would be his last Christmas with my family and the portrait would be a good present. The portrait I got of Mitten touched my entire family and brought us all to tears… Craig’s ability to catch Mitten’s personality on a flat sheet of paper through the look in his eyes alone was incredible. Since then I’ve ordered two other portraits which were equally beautiful and touching, but the portrait of Mitten that hangs in my parents’ house has a special place in all our hearts. I would recommend his services to anyone and will definitely be getting more cat portraits done.”

– Catherine Roa

” One of my favorite things about CR was that he actively sought input and feedback throughout the process. Whether it was inquiring about inspirations I had for the cover to providing setches and making changes along the way, it honestly felt like he wanted to partner on the project, rather just taking the commission on.”

– Dean Page

” It can sometimes be a bit tough navigating artists as a girl, especially if you show a lot of skin. I reached out to Craig to do some commissions for me and not only was he quick with his responses, but he was very welcoming. He stayed professional, entertained my ideas and helped me shape them into projects. Loved the results and am already looking to my next commission with them. Thanks Craig!”
